2,365 new COVID-19 cases and 17 fatalities reported today

The country reported 2,364 new COVID-19 cases today, taking the national COVID-19 caseload to 164,718 till date.
Among the new cases, 1,380 cases were reported in male and 948 were female.
Likewise, 17 people died due to Coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. With this the number of people succumbing to this deadly infection reached 904 in the country.
Altogether 124,862 COVID-19 infected people recovered as of now. The number of active cases of COVID-19 stands at 38,952. A total of 2,689 people with the flu-like infection were in quarantine facilities while 31,898 were being treated at home-isolation.
Altogether 1,419,064 PCR tests have been conducted on people suspected to have contracted COVID-19, it was shared.
Meanwhile, 1,615 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Kathmandu Valley among the total fresh cases.
Similarly, districts like Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Makawanpur, Kavrepalanchowk, Chitwan, Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Kaski, Rupandehi, Dang and Kailai dsitricts have over 500 cases of COVID-19 while Manang district does not have any active case of COVID-19.
