Sindhupalchowk landslide: Identity of 11 dead persons confirmed

The identity of 11 persons killed in the landslide occurred at Ghumthang of Bahrabise-7 in Sindhupalchowk district has been established. According to Inspector of Bahrabise Area Police Office Nawaraj Neupane, identity of all 11 killed in the disaster was been confirmed.

Police Inspector Neupane shared that those losing their lives in the tragic incident were Bhakti Maya Shrestha, 63; Tyakshe Sherpa, 98; Gyani Maya Pradhan, 42; Junu BK, 23; Shukralal BK, 24; Sandesh BK, 8; Sarkini Newar, 60; and Dhan Lal BK 65.

Similarly, 60-year-old Hira Maya Newar, 25-year-old Karna Bahadaur Shrestha and 5-year-old Sarswati BK also died in the tragic incident. A total of 20 people are still missing in the landslide and a search for them is ongoing, said police.
