COVID-19 test on 47,000 persons so far

The coronavirus test has been conducted on 47,496 people. Among them, 9,407 have undergone the PCR test while 38,089 had RDT, according to spokesperson at Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Bikas Devkota.

At a regular press meet organized at the Ministry on Friday, Dr Devkota informed that in the recent 24 hours, a total of 3,791 persons had laboratory tests. The number of people staying in quarantines across the country has reached 12,985 and those in isolation reached 89. Among those in quarantine, three persons are in the Kathmandu Valley and remaining ones outside the Kathmandu Valley.
Similarly, the number of people falling on COVID-19 red zone has reached 287.
The call centre at the Ministry addressed 1,708 queries in the last 24 hours. The self assessment form to get information on COVID-19 was filled up by 24,926 persons.

No new positive case

On Friday, no new positive case of COVID-19 was reported. Ten persons have returned home will full recovery and 34 are receiving treatment. Their health condition is normal.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has planned to form groups at local levels for the control, prevention and facilitation in the treatment of coronavirus. The group will be of public health officials, employees at laboratory and nurse. Every rural municipality will have a group, while a municipality two, sub metropolitan city three and metropolitan city five.

The Ministry has urged everyone to take special care of the senior citizens in the lockdown.

Meanwhile, at the press conference, chairman of Muslim Commission, Samim Minya Ansari, requested the Muslim community to recite namaj on the Ramjan this year. The Ramjan festival begins next day. For the control of the coronavirus, the Commission has been monitoring the mosques in all districts across the country with the formation of committee, according to him.RSS
